Presentation of Mekhi’s statue to
The James-Gail Foundation
On March 17, 2024, See Me Children Inc was invited to Chicago to attend a Happy Meal give-away in remembrance of Mekhi James. Mekhi was on his way home to a Happy Meal after a haircut but was shot and killed on June 6, 2020. He was only three years old. Mekhi’s cousin’s foundation - The James-Gail Foundation hosts the Annual Happy Meal give-away for Mekhi’s families and other local families who have lost children to gun violence. Over 500 Happy Meals and other special treats were given away to local children. See Me Children Inc was proud to donate the original ceramic sculpture of Mekhi to the James-Gail Foundation which was unveiled at the event.

See Me Children was invited to deliver a presentation to the South Jersey group of the New Jersey chapter of Mothers Demand Action For Gun Sense in America. A PowerPoint on the creation of and mission of See Me Children Inc was presented via Zoom, to eighty participants.
